Hurley Pro Warmup

Late summer in the San Clemente means mainly one of two things: Schools back in session and the Hurley Pro is coming to town. Usually the unofficial start of the fall season and bringing promises of combo swells and glass off conditions gets everyones blood pumping. With the forecast for the event looking less than promising, I headed down the trail early Friday to hang out with everyone that was in town and watch the best surfers in the world practice for the upcoming competition.

Central Coast Exploration

Drove up Hwy 1 on the way to San Francisco for a music festival. Searched long and hard for waves with the dropping swell. Lucked into some small cold little waves somewhere north of Santa Cruz. Beautiful morning light made the cold water bearable and set the mood for the rest of the trip.

I don't get to surf with my brother that often but when I do I always have to snake him. It's my duty

Dane Reynolds

First time shooting at the Wedge. Smaller day and not completely death defying, but a little hectic non the less. Actually really surprised how much of a beating my housing could take. Thought I was skrewed a couple of times. Water was clear, warm, and beautiful. Its gonna be a fun summer if the weather stays this nice. Knock on wood...
